I have been working on writing the solution for the mini-lab I posted a few days ago. I had no idea how long it was going to take to write up the solution. The solution is a very big deal, as I’m trying to write it well-documented and well-linked, so that it is of maximum benefit to anyone who’s actually going to use it.
I’m writing the solution in OpenOffice so that I can export it to PDF. I found the blog formatting restrictions too limiting. So if you’re interested in that solution, well – so am I! It’s coming over the next couple of days, I hope. I’m about 3 hours into writing it, and I’ve got at least 2 or 3 more to go to get it to where I’ll be comfortable publishing “version 1.0”. This mini-lab is definitely more of an undertaking than I expected. I have a new-found respect for the lab vendors who published entire collections of labs and solutions. It’s a monumental achievement on their part to write labs and solutions that explain things in such as way that we candidates can learn.
